Better health is good for everyone and as with most things in life, it’s often the little habits we create that give us the best results.
Here are 5 steps that you can start adding to your daily life today for long-term better health.
- Meal plan for better health
- Daily exercise that you actually enjoy
- Create a better health mindset
- Get enough sleep
- Make water your drink of choice
Let’s look at each of these steps in more detail.
Meal plan for better health
Meal planning is key for me personally – It really helps me to stay on track. If I don’t plan, I find myself eating food that I don’t consider to be healthy.
I don’t do great saying things like, on Monday, my meals will be… Instead, I like to plan out 14 main meals for the week, and then I can decide the night before or even on the day what I feel like.
I also make sure that I always have 2 or 3 healthy meals in the freezer for days when I know I’m going to be super busy.

Daily exercise that you actually enjoy
All too often when we think of exercise, it’s hours in the Gym, hour-long workouts or going jogging. I have to tell you that none of these really appeal to me.
But I do enjoy taking my dog for a walk or playing with him in the garden. I do like home workouts and I really like Lucy Wyndham-Read on YouTube, especially her indoor walking videos. I love putting my music on and dancing around the house.

Create a better health mindset
Developing a healthy mindset is so important. Affirmations and Afformations are a great way to fill your mind with positive messages that support you.
EFT is a powerful technique that will really help you to release limiting beliefs and emotions that can keep us stuck. EFT helps to improve the energy flow and this will help you to feel better.
Get enough sleep
In my opinion, sleep is massively underrated. I encourage you to prioritize getting 7-8 hours of sleep every night wherever possible.
When you are well rested then you are better able to stay focused on healthy living and better health.
Make water your chosen drink
Many of us do not drink anywhere enough water on a daily basis. I can easily go for hours without drinking anything and then I start to lose focus, feel tired, get a headache, eat (crave food that doesn’t help me to be healthy)…
Every day I aim to drink 8 glasses (medium size), admittedly, I don’t always do this but I know that when I do, I feel so much better.
