Some affirmations for intuitive eating notes
I wanted to share a couple of extra tips that I’ve found helpful, in the hope they may help you too on your journey with intuitive eating.
Diet talk from well-meaning people
When well-meaning friends talk about weight loss tips, what we should and shouldn’t eat, good foods, bad foods… I fill my mind with this affirmation: I am on my own intuitive eating path now. I love and cherish my friends. I follow my own path.
This helps me to stay focused on what I’m doing without judging or getting annoyed with my friends and loved ones.
I’ll get fat (self-talk)
One of my biggest fears with regards to intuitive eating and being able to eat whatever I want was that I would end up being huge and putting on a ridiculous amount of food.
The reality is that when I was dieting. Well… I called it a healthy eating plan. I would often binge eat to the point that I felt physically ill and still ate some more. Needless to say this was worrying behaviour for me.
I can honestly say that in the couple of months that I’ve been on my journey to intuitive eating, that hasn’t happened once. I’ve also found myself, in a kind of this or that conversation with something like a chocolate bar and some fruit. I’ve really paid attention to my body and asked what do I actually want to eat.
The affirmation I’ve found helpful for dealing with this is… My body knows what I need for my best health.
Forming your own affirmations for intuitive eating
As you work on your own intuitive eating journey you may find certain things where you can use affirmations to support you. For example, if you find that you struggle with a certain principle, ask yourself what you want. Then create an affirmation to support you.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these affirmations for intuitive eating. All of my related posts will be posted here… Intuitive Eating Posts.
