When self-doubt takes hold, it’s easy to forget that you are already enough — just as you are.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a simple, gentle way to release those old beliefs that tell you otherwise.
Through tapping on specific acupressure points, you can calm your nervous system, shift your energy, and begin to reprogram your subconscious mind with thoughts of self-worth and confidence.

The Tapping Points
Please note that I use slightly different points for different EFT scripts.
These points are specifically chosen for healing old beliefs and emotions around self-worth.
Before you begin:
Place your hands flat, one on top of the other, over your chest.
Close your eyes and take three slow, deep breaths.
Inhale deeply, hold for a count of three, and gently exhale.
Now, let’s tap on these points:
- Top of the head
- Forehead
- Eyebrow (the thick point near the bridge of your nose)
- Side of the eye
- Under the eye
- Under the nose
- Under the mouth
- Collarbone (gently tap the bone at the base of your neck with your fist)
- Side of the thumb
- Side of the index finger
- Side of the middle finger
- Side of the ring finger
- Side of the little finger
Step 1: Tap Out “I’m Not Enough”
We’ll begin by acknowledging the belief that has been holding you back, while gently opening to release it.
Start with your set-up statement, tapping on the side of the hand and saying:
“Even though I have this belief that I’m not enough, I choose now to release it and let it go.”
Repeat this set-up phrase three times, taking a deep breath after each round.
Then move through the tapping points using the alternating phrases:
“I’m not enough.”
“Release.”
Continue to alternate between the two, allowing the energy behind this belief to soften and flow with each tap.
Take your time and keep your breathing slow and steady.
If any emotions or memories arise, simply notice them and keep tapping until you feel calmer and lighter.
Step 2: Tap In “I Am Enough”
Now that you’ve begun releasing the old belief, it’s time to anchor in your new truth — you are enough, just as you are.
Take a slow, deep breath, centre yourself, and move through each tapping point while repeating:
“I am enough.”
Say it with intention.
Feel the words as you speak them — let them settle into your body and your energy.
If doubts arise, that’s okay. Keep tapping.
Each round helps your subconscious mind recognise this new belief as your truth.
You can continue for as many rounds as you like, allowing the phrase to feel softer, stronger, and more natural each time.
For deeper reinforcement, finish this step by saying:
“I am enough. I’ve always been enough. And I choose to believe it now.”
Step 3: Support With Affirmations
“I am enough” is one of the most powerful affirmations you can use.
Repeat it often — when you wake up, before a meeting, while you walk, or whenever doubt creeps in.
The more you affirm it, the more your subconscious begins to believe it.
Quickfire EFT: Release and Reaffirm
Here’s a shorter tapping sequence using just a few key points.
Alternate between these three phrases:
- I now release these feelings that I’m not enough.
- I am enough.
- I’m always enough.
Quickfire tapping order:
- Top of the head – I now release these feelings that I’m not enough
- 3rd eye – I am enough
- Eyebrow – I’m always enough
- Side of the eye – I now release these feelings that I’m not enough
- Under the eye – I am enough
- Under the nose – I’m always enough
- Under the mouth – I now release these feelings that I’m not enough
- Collarbone – I am enough
- Side of the hand – I’m always enough
Step 4: Healing the Root of “Not Enough”
Think back through your life.
Is there a moment or a person that contributed to your belief that you’re not enough?
When you bring that memory to mind, tap using this simple forgiveness sequence based on Ho‘oponopono — a traditional Hawaiian prayer for healing and release.
The Forgiveness Prayer (Ho‘oponopono)
I’m sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you
I love you
Here’s my interpretation of what each phrase means:
- I’m sorry: I’m sorry for attracting this experience into my life.
- Please forgive me: Forgive me for being a match to what I didn’t want.
- Thank you: Thank you for the clarity — for showing me what I no longer choose.
- I love you: Love for yourself, for growth, and for peace with the past.
Even if the words feel strange at first, keep going. This practice can be deeply freeing.
Tapping Script for Forgiveness
- Top of the head – I’m sorry
- Forehead – Please forgive me
- Eyebrow – Thank you
- Side of the eye – I love you
- Under the eye – I’m sorry
- Under the nose – Please forgive me
- Under the mouth – Thank you
- Collarbone – I love you
- Side of the hand – I’m sorry
Finish your round on the side of the hand, saying:
“I love you.”
Step 5: Letting Go
You can also use EFT to simply let go of the belief that you’re not enough.
While tapping the side of your hand, say:
“I’m tapping today to release this feeling of not being enough.”
Then at each point, repeat:
“This feeling — I now let it go, soften, and flow.”
Let it move. Let it soften. Let it go.
Daily Practice
For a quick daily reset, do three rounds each morning saying:
“I am enough.”
This simple practice sets the tone for your day — calm, confident, and grounded in your worth.
