Focus on Positive Expectations (this is amazing)

I absolutely love talking about positive expectations. It holds so much power because it creates a huge energy and mindset shift and you are actively using the law of attrtaction to let the Universe what you want.

Let me tell you about the power of positive expectation and I’ve got a fantastic exercise for you to try out for yourself, using the law of attraction, EFT tapping and affirmations.

Positive expectation is in what I call the SHIFT ZONE. It’s where you move from a low emotion (low vibration) that doesn’t support you to a higher level. This level changes everything and it’s fairly easy to get to.

If you can move your attention from THERE’S NO HOPE to POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS where you expect things to work out, expect positive results, and expect good things to happen – This is incredibly powerful.

Step 1: Improve your energy flow for positive expectations (EFT)

How are you feeling right now? Choose a specific area of your life where you don’t particularly have positive expectations. Maybe things haven’t been working out very well in this area for some time now.

Place your hands in the heart healing position (across the chest area – one hand on top of the other)

Take 3 deep breaths in and release.

State your intention – Even though things haven’t been working out well for me in this area of my life (you can state the specific area of your life), I choose to focus on positive expectations moving forward.

Now you’re going to move through the EFT tapping points and say “I have positive expectations”

Here are the tapping points.

  • Top of the head
  • Forehead
  • Start of the eyebrow
  • Side of the eye
  • Under the eye
  • Tip of the nose
  • Under the nose
  • Under the mouth
  • Collarbone

Then move onto the hand points tapping the side of your…

  • Thumb
  • Index finger
  • Middle finger
  • Ring finger
  • Little finger
  • Side of the hand

Tip: Tap the hand points from each hand together. For example, tap both thumbs together.

Step 2: With positive expectations what do you expect to happen?

Make this a really fun exercise. This will help you draw on the power of the law of attraction. Imagine there are no limits, what would happen? Ideally write it down but if this isn’t you’re thing, do this exercise in your mind.

Step 3: Create positive affirmations that support positive expectations

Start with the affirmation – I have positive expectations.

You can then use affirmations such as…

  • I expect really good things to happen
  • I expect wonderful things to happen
  • I expect positive results
  • I expect a super-positive outcome
  • I expect today to be a really nice day
  • I expect… to speak to me politely

You can create really specific affirmations to support you too. For example, if you want more money. You can say “I expect to receive more money.” or “I expect to receive extra money this week.”

Step 4: Combine your positive expectation affirmations with EFT

Now say any of your positive expectation affirmations at each of the different EFT tapping points. This will help to release resistance to your affirmations and help raise your vibrations and energy so that you are a match for actually attracting positive things.

EXAMPLE of shifting to positive expectation.

Meet Jane. Jane is currently struggling to make enough money from her business. Her thoughts have very much been around “Not enough sales” and “Not making enough money.” So, we’re going to help Jane shift her focus to positive expectations.

Before we do any EFT on positive expectations, Jane does 3 rounds of EFT to release stress. She places her hands in the HEART HEALING POSITION (hands on top of each other across the chest). She takes a deep breath in and slowly releases.

Then she sets her intention by saying “I’m tapping today to release any stress I’m holding onto. I let it soften and flow. I let all of this stress go now.”

At each tapping point, she says “This stress”

Step 1: Next, back at the heart healing position, she says “Even though things haven’t been working out well for me in my business and whatever I do, I never seem to be able to make enough money. I choose to focus on positive expectations moving forward. I release the past and move forward with positive expectations.

At each tapping point, Jane says “I now have positive expectations about my business and my ability to make plenty of money”

Step 2: Jane makes a list of all the things she wants.

  • To make 100’s of sales from her online shop every month
  • To be fully booked with her private clients
  • To make plenty of money
  • To have a waiting list of people who want to work with her

Step 3: Jane creates a list of positive expectation affirmations to support her.

  • I expect amazing things to happen in my business
  • I expect wonderful things from myself as a successful businesswoman
  • I expect to make many hundreds of sales from my shop every month
  • I expect to be fully booked with clients every month
  • I expect to make plenty of money from my business every month
  • I expect to have a waiting list of people who really want to work with me

Step 4: Jane starts tapping on her affirmations and as she taps and says these affirmations even more ideas come to her.

  • I expect my business to be really successful
  • I expect wonderful opportunities in my business
  • I expect people to rave about my business
  • I expect 100’s of 5-star reviews

Jane taps a few rounds repeating her affirmations. She’s drawn to some more than others, so she repeats these even more times.

Then, she places her hands back in the heart-healing position and takes 3 deep breaths. Jane’s feeling so positive now about her business and herself. Her energy levels feel really high and her vibrations are high.

Jane is in a great place now to work on her business. She’s sent a positive message out into the universe and she’s now much more of a match for attracting what she wants in her business.

** Please note that this exercise can be used for any area of your life. It certainly doesn’t need to be business-related.
