You’ve got to love your body now whatever stage you’re at on your weight loss journey. I’ve got 3 powerful love your body exercises to help you.
I strongly believe that. If you love your body, it will support you. If you’re constantly being negative about your body then losing weight, getting healthy, making positive changes is always going to be a struggle.
My guess is that if you’ve been overweight for any length of time, then you’ll be used to focusing on the things you don’t like about your body. Let’s try something different and see what happens.
If you’re subscribed to my Weight Loss Challenge YouTube channel, you’ll no doubt have seen that I’m recording tips and thoughts as I go through the 30-day weight loss challenge again.
I’ve just recorded Day 25. In the actual weight loss challenge, I encourage standing in front of a full-length mirror and saying “What I love about my body is…”
Of course, go ahead and do that, it really is so powerful.
What I thought we’d do today is share 3 things we love about our own bodies. I hope you really enjoy these mindset exercises to help you love your body more and more.
3 things I love about my body
I love my eyes, I love my feet and I love my hands.
My eyes because every time I look into my own eyes I see reflections of my Dad (he passes away quite a few years ago now, but people always said we have the same eyes.)
My feet because they help me get where I want to go, go on my walks, get fit…
My hands, because they allow me to do my work, I spend a lot of time on my computer typing, I use my hands to help clients with EFT (tapping with my fingers), to wave, to stroke my dog (Indie), to shake hands…
3 Exercises To Love Your Body
I’ve got three exercises that I’d really love you to do, focusing on what you love about your body.
The mirror exercise to love your body
I’d love you to do this exercise in front of the mirror and say the things you love about your body out loud.
I recommend that you do this exercise regularly, each time finding more things about your body to love.
I’d love you to look t yourself and really appreciate how amazing your body really is.
This is a really powerful self-love, self-acceptance mindset exercise that will help you to form a loving and positive relationship with your own body.
I love my body journalling
Start a daily journal of appreciation for your body and yourself in general. Every day write about how fabulous your body is and how amazing you are.
Add a minimum of 3 positive things to your journal each day connected to your body. A good way to start is with “I’m so grateful…”
For example, I’m so grateful that I got to go swimming and move my body today in a way I really enjoy. I’m so grateful for my comfy bed where I can relax and get a good night’s sleep. I am so grateful that I got to have a soak in the bath today and feel so relaxed.
So, it doesn’t need to be… I’m grateful for my feet, I’m grateful for my legs… Make it more personal to each day.
Affirmations to love your body
Fill your mind with positive affirmations about yourself and your body, such as…
Every day I get stronger and healthier
I love and cherish every part of my body
I love and respect myself
I love and nourish my body
I’m fit and healthy
I’m slim and toned…
Affirmations support you in becoming the person you want to be.

There are many EFT posts here on the blog and EFT videos on my YouTube Channel.
An EFT idea specifically for this post on learning to love your body is to write down anything that you don’t like about your body right now and then tap on that.
Examples – Even though right now, I don’t like how fat I am, I’m tapping today to give love to my body – Then on the individual points say, Love my body.
