Today we will focus on how to stay positive if you’re stuck inside more than normal.
I originally wrote this post during the pandemic but there are times when we find ourselves stuck inside for one reason or another.
Here are some useful mindset tips to stay positive

1. Get regular exercise
Make sure you’re still keeping really active. Get up and move around regularly throughout the day. I am a huge fan of Lucy Wyndham-Read on YouTube. I have a really small area where I workout in my living room. You really don’t need much space.
Also, do mini-exercise boosts like marching on the spot for a minute, 10 punches in front, 10 standing wall push-ups, 10 punches above your head…

2. Eat healthy meals
I’m not going to tell you what to eat, I’m definitely not an expert in this field but what I know is that if I eat rubbish food, I feel rubbish, low and unmotivated. I’m guessing that’s how most people feel. So, I encourage you to eat regular healthy meals and snacks throughout the day.
3. Connect online
There are so many ways to connect online these days. Find positive Facebook groups (get rid of any that don’t help you to stay positive), chat with friends and family. Use video chat to keep in touch with people.
Subscribe to my newsletter and add a comment to start a conversion. I love hearing what you’re up to.
I have a WhatsApp family chat group where we all check in regularly with each other and this really helps to keep us all connected when we can’t see each other.
4. Speak regularly to friends and family on the phone
Keep in touch with friends and family on the phone a bit more than you might normally. Let other people know they can call you too. If you’re worried that people won’t have time to chat on the phone, send a quick message beforehand asking, Is it a good time to call?

5. Learn something new
You can seriously learn so much online these days. I’ve got loads of downloads you can take a look at Self Help Downloads Some are free, some are pay what you want and others are around £10. I’ve got things like business packs, goal setting, EFT, Weight loss, simplicity and more.
YouTube – You can find pretty much anything on YouTube. I love it. Take a look around, there’s always something interesting to find.
There are also loads of online colleges where you can study for a specific qualification if you want to.
6. Meditate – Use Hypnosis Downloads
Mediation doesn’t need to be sitting in odd poses for a long time and completely clearing your mind. Check out the Headspace app.
There are loads of meditation podcasts such as Meditation Minis, Hayhouse meditations, mindful meditations…
There are also plenty of guided meditations on YouTube.
I’m a big fan of hypnosis downloads. You can find plenty of free hypnosis sessions on YouTube but I personally like to have specific hypnosis downloads. I use this company (this is my affiliate link) Hypnosis Downloads There is a charge but I think they’re really good value and a very trusted company. You can even learn Hypnosis for free using my referral link LEARN HYPNOSIS IN 5 DAYS.
7. Sing
Sing around your home, sing to the dog (yep, I do this, not going to lie, I don’t think he’s impressed), you can even join an online choir and you don’t need to be a good singer, just enjoy it.
8. Dance
Dance around your home to your favourite tunes, With a quick search on YouTube, I found videos such as learn to tap dance, dance lessons for beginners, line dancing for beginners…
9. Declutter and clean
This is definitely something I’m focusing on.
I’m focusing on one area of the house a day, even if it’s just one drawer or one cupboard.
Give those areas of the house that might get missed when we’re busy a good clean. I have plenty of those spots in my home (don’t judge me).
10. Remember that you don’t need to be busy all the time
Use this time to relax. You don’t need to fill every minute of the day. Read a book, have an afternoon nap, I love naps, binge watch something you enjoy, have a long soak in the bath…
Stay positive when you’re stuck inside
One final thing I wanted to add is my EFT tapping for stress post as I know this can be a time where we feel extra stress, I’m definitely using this tapping session more recently. EFT Release Stress and also this post 5 Mindset Tips If You’re Feeling Fearful.
Please add your own tips for how you stay positive when you’re stuck inside. And please share this post wherever you can. Thank you so much. Wendy xx
