Are you ready to start adding some new habits for a positive mindset? Yes. Let’s do this.
Daily habits have a huge impact on your life whether they’re helpful or unhelpful habits. They impact how you feel, what you achieve each day, also, how you feel about others and the wider world.
Habits can support you or they can hinder you. With that in mind, it’s beneficial to focus on building habits that support you and help you feel positive.
5 daily habits to build a positive mindset.
- Fill your mind with positive messages – Build an affirmations habit
- Tap out any blocked energy – Release blocks and feel amazing with an EFT tapping habit
- Deliberately imagine the life you want – Build a visualizing habit
- Focus on your achievements – Build an intentions habit
- Gratitude attracts more to be grateful for – Build a gratitude habit
Let’s look at these habits in more detail. I have lots of tips to share with you that will help you build these amazing daily habits.
Build a positive affirmations habit
Affirmations are statements that support you, such as “I am confident” and “I have what it takes to achieve this goal.” Keep your affirmations positive and present tense.
Affirmations can be written down, or recorded on your phone for you to listen to. Say them out loud or you can say them in your mind. They’re a way to deliberately fill your mind with messages that support you.
I’ve written a really useful AFFIRMATIONS GUDE right here on the blog – You’ll find loads of ideas about creating your own affirmations and the best way to use these special messages.
Focus on what you want and then create a positive statement. Here’s an example: If you want to feel calm and relaxed during a meeting, your positive affirmation may be “I am calm and confident during the meeting.” Or “I feel calm and confident as I enter this meeting.”
Four powerful ways to start your affirmations are:
- I am…
- I have…
- I feel…
- I can…

Write your affirmations down and read them as a part of your morning routine and then again before going to bed. Both of these times are great times to focus on what you want to attract into your life. These are times when your subconscious mind is very open to new suggestions.
Throughout the day, get into the habit of repeating positive affirmations that support you. If you catch yourself thinking something that doesn’t support you, replace it with a better-feeling thought.
Affirmations can be focused on things you want to be true for you right now. An example is “I am focused on completing this task with ease and on time”
They can also help you create a positive mindset in connection with something you want to attract into your life more long-term. For example, if you are just starting out on a career as an actor, you can say “I’m a successful actor.” Or “I constantly attract amazing acting roles.”

AFFIRMATIONS HABITS: 1. Write your affirmations down and read them daily. 2. Fill your mind with positive affirmations throughout the day.
Build an EFT tapping habit
EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques which involves tapping gently on meridian points to improve energy flow and release emotional blocks. EFT is very simple to use. Here’s my EFT GUIDE to learn more.
I’ll go through the EFT tapping points below (they’re meridian points) – If you want to see me demonstrate how to tap and see me tapping the points I use – here’s a quick little video EFT Tapping Points video.
Start by tapping the side of the hand just below the little finger. Either side is fine. As you tap, say a statement about why you’re tapping. This can release something, such as an emotion or a limiting belief. An example is “I’m tapping now to release this stress.”
Next, move to the individual EFT tapping points.
- Top of the head
- Forehead
- Eyebrow. The part closest to the nose
- Side of the eye
- Under the eye
- Under the nose. The area between your nose and the top lip
- Under the mouth. The area between the bottom lip and the base of the chin
- Collarbone. The area at the base of the neck where the bones meet
- The side of the hand. Just below the little finger.
You can repeat this EFT round as many times as needed. Tap out low emotions and limiting beliefs. Tap in the feelings and beliefs you want. Use the same tapping points for each.
I’ve added hundreds of Free EFT scripts and ideas for using tapping in your own life. They’re right here on the blog.
EFT HABITS: I encourage you to do some EFT tapping every day. This will ensure that you keep your energy flowing really well and release any blocks. Here’s a wonderful collection of daily EFT scripts to try out.
A visualizing habit
Visualizing is where you create a picture of a movie in your mind. It’s where you see in your mind something that you want to be real for you.
If you want a new home, visualize yourself already living in the home you want. Imagine yourself doing your normal things in your new home.
If you want to have a new job, visualize yourself doing your new job.
Important: As you visualize, focus on how you feel. get the feeling that you would have if this was already your reality.
Picturing the things you want in your mind as if you already have them is a powerful habit. Your subconscious mind accepts this as true and will work to help you achieve it. This technique also helps to make sure you don’t put up any blocks such as limiting beliefs.
Visualizing may take some practice but it’s well worth building this powerful habit.
VISUALIZING HABIT: When you wake up, spend a few minutes visualizing your day ahead as you want it. When you go to bed at night, relax your body and visualize your ideal life. Or focus on one aspect of your life. Visualize as if you already have what you want.
An intentions habit
Each day, set intentions based on the life you want. Write your intentions down as if you already have what you want. For example, “I am financially secure” or “I am healthy and strong”
By setting intentions like this you focus your attention on what you want. This is a way of goal setting. Instead of creating a goal such as, my goal is to buy a brand new car by the end of the year, your intention would be “I’m loving driving my brand new car this year.”
Focus on your intentions for each day and the ideal life you want to create for yourself.
Intentions for the day might be:
- The start of my day is calm and enjoyable
- I enjoy my journey to work and arrive at the perfect time
- All of my tasks for today are completed with ease
- I enjoy time with my family
- I make several sales
Ideal life intentions might be:
- I’m financially secure for life
- I have a wonderful 4 bedroom home with a large enclosed garden… (add more detail)
- I have a successful and very enjoyable six-figure business
- I am happily married
- I am well and healthy
A great question to ask once you’ve set your intention is… What do I need to do now to make this happen?
Also, know that by setting your intention, you also let the universe know that this is what you want and the law of attraction can start helping you.
INTENTIONS HABIT: Set intentions specific to each day and your ideal life. Ideally in the morning. If this is not possible for you, set your intentions each evening for the next day.
A gratitude habit
Gratitude attracts more to be grateful for. It’s a super high vibrating energy and this will help you to be a match for manifesting more of what you want in your life. In simple terms, it’s SUPER POWERFUL.
Put your focus on what you’re already grateful for. Stop throughout the day to think about what you’re grateful for. Whilst you’re building your gratitude habit, you can set alarms throughout the day. When the alarm goes off focus on 3 things that you’re grateful for – Here’s a really good blog post to read The Law of Attraction and Gratitude.
Another fantastic gratitude habit is keeping a gratitude journal. Write 3 or more things each day that you feel grateful for, ideally specific to that day. Check out my tips for How to start a gratitude journal. If you don’t like to write things down, simply focus on what you’re grateful for in your mind.
GRATITUDE HABITS: Stop throughout the day to focus on gratitude and keep a daily gratitude journal.
Build positive habits for a positive life
I hope you’ve found my suggestions for building daily habits for a positive mindset helpful. I really hope you’ll give them all a try.
I want to finish off with some tips.
- It’s generally believed that a habit takes around 30 days to form. I would agree with this. So, initially, the new thing that you do will need to be deliberate. You’ll need to kind of force yourself to do it until it becomes a habit and you will then start to do it more automatically
- If you miss a day, don’t give up. Just pick up where you left off the next day.
- These habits are positive for you in so many ways. You may need to force yourself to remember to do them initially. Make them an enjoyable part of your day. Some people worry that they don’t have time for these things but making time for them is a powerful way to improve your life.
Improving your mindset is one of the best ways you can use your time. Thanks for reading today. Enjoy.
