Do you want to feel more comfortable being yourself? These EFT scripts are designed to release resistance to being yourself and to help you feel comfortable being the real you.

Release resistance to being yourself – EFT Script
Before you start tapping, I want you to think about a typical situation where you don’t feel comfortable being yourself. Is it most of the time, all the time or just in certain situations?
Now focus on how that makes you feel? Place your hands over your chest (one hand on top of the other in the middle of your chest – The heart-healing position) – Take three nice, deep breaths in and slowly release.
Now, start tapping the side of your hand (just below the little finger) and say your set-up statement – I’m tapping today to release any resistance to being myself. To clear any blocks and any uncomfortable feelings.
- Top of the head: Feeling uncomfortable being myself
- Forehead: I release this feeling
- Eyebrow: Feeling uncomfartable being myself
- Side of the eye: I release this feeling
- Under the eye: Feeling uncomfortable being myself
- Under the nose: I release this feeling
- Under the mouth: Feeling uncomfortable being myself
- Collarbone: I release this feeling
- Under the arm: Feeling uncomfortable being myself
- Side of the hand: I release this feeling
I recommend that you complete several rounds. Take a deep breath in and slowly release at the end of each full round.
You only need to do the set-up once at the start of the session and not at the start of each round.
Feeling uncomfortable being yourself – EFT Tap and Talk
Using the same EFT Tapping points, you can talk about specific situations where you don’t feel comfortable being yourself.
Imagine I’m your best friend and you do feel completely comfortable with me. Tell me how you feel, what happens and anything you can put to words about the situation.
Here’s an example of what I mean…
- Top of the head: When I meet new people I don’t feel like I can be myself
- Forehead: I don’t think they’ll accept me if I’m myself
- Eyebrow: I feel like I have to be someone I’m not
- Side of the eye: My stomach feels like it’s in knots
- Under the eye: I constantly worry about what people are thinking about me
- Under the nose: I don’t feel calm
- Under the mouth: I don’t feel like I’m giving my best
- Collarbone: I’m so focused on not being myself
- Under the arm: I don’t think people will like me if I’m myself
- Side of the hand: I don’t think I will be taken seriously if I’m myself
The more specific you can be about your personal situation the better and more effective the EFT session will be.
Just keep tapping until you run out of things to say and you can repeat statements as many times as you want.
If you have a strong belief connected with being yourself, such as… People won’t like me if I’m myself. Spend several minutes tapping just on that statement.
Feel comfortable being yourself – EFT Script
Now, let’s tap in a better feeling. This is called Positive EFT. You’ll use exactly the same tapping points.
- Set-up (tapping the side of the hand): I’m tapping today to feel comfortable being myself
- Top of the head: I am unique
- Forehead: It’s okay to be myself
- Eyebrow: It’s safe for me to be myself
- Side of the eye: The real me is the best version of me
- Under the eye: I am unique
- Under the nose: It’s okay to be myself
- Under the mouth: It’s safe to be myself
- Collarbone: The real me is the best version of me
- Under the arm: I am unique
- Side of the hand: It’s okay to be myself…
I recommend that you spend at least 5 minutes on this EFT session. You can also then use it as a daily EFT session doing 2 or three rounds to help build these new beliefs that support you.
Think about how you want to feel. You can use your own words, just keep the statements positive. So, say… I feel comfortable being myself rather than I don’t want to feel uncomfortable…
More comfortable being yourself – EFT Script
Finally, this is a super simple EFT Session that is ideal to continue with daily to build on the work you’ve already done in the previous EFT sessions.
- Set-Up: I’m tapping to feel more comfortable being myself
- All tapping points: More comfortable
You only need to say more comfortable because you know what the intention is. If you prefer to say the full statement – More comfortable being myself, then that’s fine too.
Coaching Note about being yourself
I want you to think about this. As you go through life, not everyone will like you. Not everyone will want to work with you, be your friend, have a relationship with you… And that’s okay. It’s totally normal.
When you are able to be yourself, you will attract the right people. You’ll attract the people who are a real match for you.
If someone doesn’t like the real you, that is also fine. That person is not a match for you.
When you are able to be yourself, you have more energy to create the life you want for yourself and more energy to enjoy your life.
Coaching note about letting others be themselves
I feel it’s important that we should all feel comfortable being ourselves, it is also important that we allow others to be themselves too.
Take some time to think about this and make sure that this is true for you. Sometimes it’s only when we really think about this, we realize that we judge people who are being themselves and then we subconsciously expect others will do the same to us.
You are truly unique and the world need more people who are willing to be themselves. I believe this is when we truly are able to shine and love life
