Spending some time focusing on morning affirmations is a wonderful way to start your day. Before you get out of bed in the morning, in the shower or as you’re getting dressed.
It doesn’t need to take any extra time but this daily practice of saying morning affirmations is incredibly powerful.
Affirmations are positive statements that we say to ourselves – But more than that, they are the words we send out into the Universe. And both are POWERFUL.

Imagine this scenario – You wake up and instantly have self-talk running through your head something like this… I don’t want to get up, I feel ill… Then you get up and everything seems like a struggle and so it goes.
Now imagine that you wake up and say something like this… Thank you for a wonderful night’s sleep, and thank you for this new day, I feel great, today is going to be such a wonderful day…
I know which version makes me feel better.
As always, I don’t just want to give you a long list of affirmations. I want to really help you to understand how to make the most of them. I have included some suggestions for your morning affirmations at the end of your post.

Start your day well
You always have a choice about how you start your day. Choosing to start your day with positive affirmations will set you up for the best day possible.
You raise your vibrations and put yourself into a place to attract the things you want. Fill your mind with messages that support you.
A deliberate start to your day
Make a decision to start your day well and be deliberate with your thoughts and your words – Both lead to better feelings.
Choose to deliberately fill your mind with positive thoughts – Affirmations that set you up to have a great day.
When to say your morning affirmations
Definitely say your morning affirmations as soon as you wake up before you even step out of bed. Even if that’s just – Thank you for this day.
There are also some other key times I recommend that you say your affirmations.
In the Bathroom
I think the bathroom must be one of the best places for affirmations. Firstly because you need to do certain things in there but none of them take a lot of brain power.
You can easily focus on your affirmations whilst taking a shower, or brushing your teeth… secondly, most bathrooms have a mirror.
Saying your affirmations whilst looking at yourself in the mirror is super powerful. As an absolute minimum, please look yourself right in the eye and say “I LOVE YOU”
I go through a load of Morning Affirmations in front of the mirror.
- I Love you
- I am enough
- I am awesome
- I am loved
- I am an awesome mum
- I’m calm and relaxed
- Today’s an amazing day
- Life is awesome …
I like the word awesome a lot.

When you’re getting dressed
I like to say positive things about the way I look when I’m getting dressed, doing my hair and putting my make-up on.
- Looking good
- I’m so pretty
- I look so healthy
- I love my hair
- I look great
- I love my eyes…

Breakfast time
As I’m preparing my breakfast, drinking my morning glass of water, etc. I like to say things that help me to make healthy choices.
- I’m making healthy choices now
- I’m slim, healthy and strong
- I love the way I feel when I eat healthy food

On your first journey of the day
If you have to drive to your place of work, to take your children to school or in my case taking my son to the train station. I recommend affirmations such as…
- All of my journeys are safe and calm
- I enjoy all my journeys
- I always arrive at the perfect time
- I love safe and respectful drivers…

At the start of your business day – work day
Most of us start work in the morning fairly soon after we wake up, so this is definitely a time to use your morning affirmations.

Finally, here are some general Morning Affirmations to get you started.
- Thank you for today
- I am so grateful for…
- All is well in my world
- Every day in every way my life gets better and better
- Today is a wonderful day
- I am ________________________ today – For example, I am calm today, I am empowered today, I am confident today.

I love the I AM… affirmation and you can be really specific depending on what you need that day. If family life is a bit chaotic, you can fill your mind with I AM calm and relaxed.
If you have a business meeting, you can repeat – I am calm and confident. If you really need to stay focused and be able to concentrate, say – I stay focused and concentrate throughout the day.
