I love the start of a new month. It’s a great time to take stock of your life, see what’s working and where you want to make changes. Below I have added three things to do every month to improve our life.
Over time, many people get stuck in a rut. I find that if you make these three things a priority every month then you’ll avoid getting stuck in a rut or feeling like life isn’t working out well for you.
- Review your life right now
- Set monthly goals
- Set your mindset for success (with examples of how to do this)
I’ve also added links to various guides that can further help you with each of these 3 steps if you want more support. The guides are right here on the blog.
1. Review your life now
Review where you are right now. What did you achieve the previous month? What areas of your life are you happy with and where do you want to make improvements?
I highly recommend that you read (or re-read) HOW TO BALANCE AND IMPROVE ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE every month. Where you’ll look at 8 key areas of life and really work out what’s most important to you.
Your power questions: Where am I right now? Where do I want to be 1 month from now? What do I need to do to achieve this?
Here are a few examples:
- Where am I right now? – I’m feeling a bit cut off from my friends
- Where do I want to be 1 month from now? – I want to connect with 3 of my friends at least once during the month
- What do I need to do to achieve this? – I need to arrange to connect with these friends this month (name the friends you want to connect with). Either arrange to meet up or even just chat on the phone.
- Where am I right now? – I’m not achieving my profit goal from my business
- Where do I want to be 1 month from now? – I want to have a monthly profit of (add the amount) or even more
- What do I need to do to achieve this? – I will do 5-10 rounds of EFT tapping on releasing blocks to achieve my money goals and also tap in the affirmation “My income is constantly increasing” And I will focus my attention on my priority tasks.
- Where am I right now? – I’m feeling really tired
- Where do I want to be 1 month from now? – I want to feel more energized throughout the day and refreshed when I wake up
- What do I need to do to achieve this? – I will prioritize being settled in bed and ready for sleep 7-8 hours before I need to get up. I will make sure that I’m eating well and listening to what my body needs. I will make sure that I drink at least 1.5 litres of water daily and get active every day. 2. Set your monthly goals and action plan
Set your monthly goals. These may be goals that you will complete fully within a month or they may be stepping-stone goals that help you move closer to a bigger life goal.
Always check your big goals (anything that takes longer than a month to complete). Ask yourself, what will I do this month to move me closer to my big goals? Break your bigger goals down into manageable goals that can be completed in the month ahead.

Once you’ve set your goals, what action do you need to take to actually achieve each of your goals? Clear goals with a clear plan of action are the best ways to ensure you actually achieve your goals.
3. Set your mindset for success
There’s a law of attraction saying “The Universe gives you what you focus your attention on the most!”
Now, whether you’re a law of attraction fan or not, there’s no doubt about it, when you focus on the things you want, for example, a goal you want to achieve, the more you focus on that goal, the more likely you are to achieve it.
With this in mind, I recommend that you start each day by reviewing what’s most important to you. What do you want to achieve today? What do you want to happen today? How do you want to feel today?

Visualize the things you want
Visualizing is incredibly powerful. You’re telling the Universe what you want and you’re creating a mind movie of your perfect day, perfect life.
Your subconscious mind thinks this is real and will work to support you in this all playing out in your reality. I highly recommend that you make this a part of your daily routine.
Personally, I spend some time visualizing my life as I want it first thing in the morning before I get out of bed and last thing at night as I drift off to sleep.
Fill your mind with thoughts that support you
Affirmations are a powerful way to deliberately fill your mind with thoughts that support you, such as…
- I have amazing friends who love spending time with me
- I always achieve my monthly business goals
- I sleep really well and wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day
- I am enough
- I am confident

Release blocks with EFT
One of our biggest hurdles to success in life is the blocks that we create for ourselves. One really effective way to release these blocks is through EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques). This is a super easy technique to learn and use yourself.
I encourage you to read through my simple EFT – How to tap guide. Then I encourage you to do some tapping every day to release blocks to the things you want and raise your vibrations to allow the things you want.
