Today’s Emotional Freedom Techniques Scripts are EFT to release fear, to release the feeling of fear. Fear is an emotion, a very strong emotion at times and we can use EFT tapping to help release that fear, release the emotion.

I’m a qualified EFT Master Practitioner and I share these EFT scripts because, unlike many techniques, you can do this EFT tapping yourself, at home and whenever you need it.
Today I’m going to share 3 EFT Scripts to release the feeling of fear and then one more positive EFT script to really improve the way you feel.
A note about breathing
Often when we are fearful, we start to take shallow and faster breaths. So, before you start tapping, just focus on your breathing for a couple of minutes.
Take a nice deep breath in and release slowly. Repeat. Breathe in calm, as you breathe out, release that feeling of fear.
Repeat several times and you can tap the side of the hand whilst doing this or place your hands over the chest, one hand on top of the other. Also, drink some water now to help the energy flow even more.
Simple EFT To Release Fear Session
When fear kicks in and we need something really quick and simple to focus on, this EFT session is perfect.
Set-up, tapping the side of the hand (karate chop point) say “I’m tapping to release this fear. Repeat 3 times. Take a nice deep breath in and slowly release.
- Top of the head – This fear
- Forehead – This fear
- Eyebrow – This fear
- Side of the eye – This fear
- Under the eye – This fear
- Under the nose – This fear
- Under the mouth – This fear
- Collarbone – This fear
- Under the arm – This fear
- Side of the hand – This fear
Take a nice deep breath in and repeat. After each round give the feeling of fear a number from 0-10. 10 would be that you feel really fearful and 0 would be you don’t have any fear left. Aim to get to a 0. Where you feel “I’m okay now.”
Letting go of the fear you feel
Take a deep breath in and as you breathe out release the fear. Imagine letting go of the fear. Let’s start tapping. I want you to really slow down with this session.
- Top of the head – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Forehead – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Eyebrow – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Side of the eye – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Under the eye – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Under the nose – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Under the mouth – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Collarbone – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Under the arm – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
- Side of the hand – All of this fear I now let it go, soften and flow, soften and flow
Tap and talk it out
Now this session will be very personal to you. You are simply going to tap and talk about your feelings of fear.
Here’s an example…
- Top of the head – This feeling
- Forehead – I can feel it in my chest and my stomach
- Eyebrow – I heard a noise outside
- Side of the eye – Even though I know I’m safe in my home, I can feel the fear
- Under the eye – I feel like it’s taking over my body
- Under the nose – I feel so scared that I’m in danger
- Under the mouth – My doors are locked but I still have this fear
- Collarbone – My heart is pounding
- Under the arm – My breathing is fast
- Side of the hand – My head feels loud
These are very random statements and we experience fear for all kinds of things, it might be a fear of going into a meeting, public speaking, being on your own, the dark… The list is endless.
The key thing is about what has caused the fear and how you are feeling it in your body. When I’ve done this kind of tapping for fear, I will say things like… My breathing is calming down now, I am calming down, the feeling is going now…
Tap in the feelings you want
Now you’ve got some ideas for tapping for fear. Once you’ve calmed down and the fear feeling has eased, start tapping in what you want – Positive EFT. For example, you can tap each point saying “I feel calmer now, I am calm now…”
If I have felt fearful because something has made me feel unsafe. I will tap in “I am safe, I am safe and protected…” Use the words that resonate with you.
- Top of the head – I feel calmer now
- Forehead – Feeling calmer
- Eyebrow – Feeling calmer now
- Side of the eye – Feeling calm now
- Under the eye – I am calmer
- Under the nose – I am calmer
- Under the mouth – I am calm now
- Collarbone – I am calm
- Under the arm – I am calm
- Side of the arm – I am calm now
Affirmations
Affirmations are great to use at any time and any affirmation can be combined with EFT – Read EFT and Affirmations.
- I’m safe
- I’m protected
- I’m calm
