Today’s EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques session is to help you when money is tight.
When money is tight we can quickly get ourselves into a spiral of limiting thinking and this can seriously block the way we are able to deal with the situation. I can tell you that I have a lot of personal experience in this matter.
When my marriage ended, I had pretty much no idea how to manage money and I also had a bucket load (lorry load) of limiting beliefs around money.
At the time my immediate response to anything connected to money was fear, panic and I was completely unable to think clearly about money and my money problems.

The importance of a clear mind for dealing with your money situation
When money is tight, stress talk and stress thinking stops us from being able to think clearly and rationally about our situation.
So the first thing we need to do is tap on the stress. A simple tapping session would simply be to say the words “This stress” at each tapping point.
I recommend 3+ rounds. Side of the hand (saying “I’m tapping to release this stress”) then THIS STRESS at each of the following tapping points: Top of the head, forehead, eyebrow, side of the eye, under the eye, under the nose, under the mouth, collarbone, under the arm, side of the hand.
Repeat this 3 times with a nice slow and deep breath in and release between each repeat.
Whilst this often feels like it’s taking up your time, it really is very important in this situation.
More EFT sessions to Release Stress and Stress Relief tapping. Stress tapping is always beneficial to you especially at times when you are worrying about money.
EFT tapping when money is tight
How do you feel when you think about your money situation? I want you to write this down.
This might be something like this… I’m so worried that I won’t have enough money to pay my bills. I feel like nothing is ever going to change. I’m scared that I will not have enough money for essentials. I feel like I’ve failed…
You write down anything that is relevant to you and your current money situation.
Now, tap on the things you wrote down. Something like this…
- Top of the head – I’m worried that I won’t have enough money to pay my bills
- Forehead – I feel like nothing is ever going to change
- Eyebrow – I’m scared I won’t have enough money for essentials
- Side of the eye – I feel like I’ve failed
- Under the eye – I feel like I should be in a better financial situation by now
- Under the nose – These money worries
- Under the mount – I’m worried I won’t have enough money to pay my bills
- Collarbone – I feel like nothing is ever going to change
- Under the arm – I’m scared I won’t have enough money for essentials
- Side of the hand – I feel like I’ve failed
As you can see, in this example, I’ve repeated the statements I wrote down. If you have a couple of statements, repeat them, If you have 10+ just keep tapping a new point for a new statement. I want you to continue with this exercise until you’ve done at least 3 full rounds of EFT.
This session is incredibly powerful because you are dealing with your own specific feelings and fears.
EFT -These Money Worries
A more simple yet still very powerful session is to simply tap on “These Money Worries” at each tapping point. Again do several rounds and take a nice deep breath regularly. Before you start this session, I want you to really focus on the feelings that you’re experiencing whilst money is tight.
EFT – Shifting to positive tapping
Once you’ve done your stress tapping then your tapping to release your money worries, it’s time to start building better feeling beliefs.
One affirmation I liked to use when money was very tight was Everything works out for the best. For me personally, this helped me to believe that that current financial situation was only temporary and things would get better.
Other phrases that helped me were…
- Every day in every way my life gets better and better
- Every day my financial situation is improving
- I am focused on increasing my income
- I can improve my income now
- Money flows to me now

Read why EFT combined with affirmations are so incredibly powerful. If you have an affirmation that resonates with you but also feels like a lie, try tapping a few rounds saying the affirmation. Final words of advice
Try to work on the belief that this is your CURRENT situation only. Many people make this their life story. I personally did this for a long time. Instead, realize that this is just where you are right now and it can change.

Is the statement for tapping under the nose incomplete?

I feel like there should be more to that statement, or am I mistaken? Thank you. 😊

No, that’s what I would say. In EFT sessions I often say “This feeling” at the EFT points. It’s the same idea. You’re focusing on money worries so that’s why it’s “These money worries”
You don’t have to use it if it’s not right for you. I share the EFT scripts to give people ideas but EFT always works best when you use your own wording.
In fact, when I have been worried about money in the past, I have done my set up as “Even though I have these money worries, I deeply love and accept myself” and then tapped “Money worries” at each of the EFT points.
