Today, we’re going to focus on using affirmations for joy. According to the Cambridge online dictionary, the meaning of joy is great happiness. I think we could all use more of that in our lives. If you agree, keep reading.
If you’re new to using affirmations, I encourage you to read How to use affirmations effectively as this will really help you to understand how to get the most out of these positive messages you use.

Some examples of Joy Affirmations
You really don’t need to have a great big long list of affirmations, just choose a few or even just one that really resonates with you. Here are a few ideas that you may like…
- I am joy
- I radiate joy
- I am joyful
- Joy fills my life
- Joy flows easily into my life
- I breathe in joy (this is lovely when you’re not really feeling the joy. Take a few nice deep breaths in and slowly release – As you breathe in say “I breathe in joy”)
- My days are filled with joy
- Thank you for all the joy that fills my life
- Great happiness is all around me
- Great happiness flows through me
- My home is filled with joy
- People I meet bring joy into my life
- My friends bring even more joy into my life
- My family bring even more joy into my life
- My work brings me joy
You’ll find images of all of these affirmations somewhere in this post. You can save them to your Pinterest boards so that you can go back to them regularly and keep filling your mind with positive messages.

Keeping it simple
If you search the internet, you’ll no doubt find lists of affirmations related to joy. To be honest, I’m not a fan of having huge lists of affirmations.
From experience, I have found that having just a few simple affirmations that you really focus on is much more effective.
I will give you some ideas a little further down but just aim for two or three that really resonate with you personally. Then add in different affirmations as you go through your day. For example, when you’re at work, you might like to say “My work brings me joy”.

Fill your mind with thoughts of joy
I encourage you to spend a couple of minutes each morning focusing on your joy affirmations and do the same in the evening.
My own favourite in the morning is “My day is filled with joy” and in the evening just before I go to sleep “Thank you for all the joy I have in my life” These are really key times to feed your mind deliberate messages as it’s the time your subconscious mind is the most open to accepting new ideas.
I also encourage you to fill your mind with your affirmations throughout the day. If you want joy to fill your life, fill your life with joyful thoughts. Here’s a little law of attraction tip – What you focus on expands. In other words, focus on joy and attract more joy.

I hope these affirmations will inspire more ideas personal to you. For example, when you’re spending time with a specific person you can say “This person brings great joy into my life” and you can also say “I bring great joy to this person.”
Make your affirmations fit your life – fill your mind with these super-powerful messages throughout the day, every day.

Combine your joy affirmations with EFT
Combining affirmations with EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is incredibly powerful. This will help you to release any resistance to the affirmation being true for you and it will help you to raise your vibrations and allow more and more joy into your life.
And remember to check out the EFT for Joy post where I’ve shared scripts and ideas for tapping for joy (for yourself and others.
If you’re new to EFT, read my EFT – How to tap guide. And for more detailed information about the power of combining EFT with affirmations, read AFFIRMATION AND EFT.
I encourage daily EFT tapping to really keep your energy flowing freely. A really nice daily tapping session is a collection of affirmations for various things you want in your life. For example, you could add a few joy affirmations, a few affirmations related to your health and wellbeing, abundance affirmations and gratitude affirmations…

Affirmations are simply deliberate thoughts
To finish off this post, I just want to add that affirmations are simply deliberate thoughts. Throughout the day all kinds of random messages can find there way into your thoughts, into your mind. Affirmations let you deliberately choose what messages you fill your mind with.
Here’s to more joy (great happiness) in all our lives. If you’ve found this post helpful, please share it wherever you can. This really helps me to grow my blog and help others. Thank you so much, Wendy (Your online life and business coach).

More joy affirmation images and tips below
As promised I have included all of the joy affirmations somewhere in this post. Here are the ones I didn’t manage to add in the main blog post with some little snippets of inspiration and tips.

Be sure to pay attention to all the joy entering your life and be grateful for it. The more you focus on gratitude for the things you already have the more you will attract.
Check out my Gratitude Affirmations.

Again, really pay attention to happiness all around you. Happiness and joy are very similar.
Here are some related articles Happiness Affirmations, EFT for Happiness and Happy Vibes all the way today.

Just take a minute now to really imagine happiness flowing through your body and really filling the space around you.
Make this something you do regularly throughout the day and say this affirmation – Great happiness flows through me.

I love this affirmation so much. We spend so much time in our homes, so of course, we want them to be places of joy.
Try this. Every single time you enter your home, get into the habit of saying “My home is filled with joy” or whatever other words resonate with you. For example, my home is filled with love and happiness, my home is a place of calm…

This is a wonderful affirmation to use any time you are out and mixing with other people, whether that’s people you already know or people you are meeting for the first time.

Now, this affirmation uses the words even more joy. This is really powerful as it suggests that your life is already very joyful and your friends ADD even more joy. This means you do not rely on your friends to make you feel joy, you can do that by yourself. This leads to a very healthy relationship.

Again, this affirmation helps to build that belief that your family aren’t responsible for your joy but they add to the joy you already feel.
Also, if you do have any issues with a family member, try repeating this affirmation when you think about them and when you spend time with them.

Whether you work for yourself and run a business, work for someone else, study, or do housework…. this is a fantastic affirmation to bring more joy to your work.

A note from Wendy
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post and that it’s brought some extra joy to your life. Affirmations really can be a quick fix to shift your thoughts from negative thinking to positive thinking, but for them to be effective, you want to fill your mind with them naturally as you go about your day.
Wake up with joy in your heart and mind and go to sleep with joy in your heart and mind. xx
